We all hate those moments when making phone calls and the network provider starts warning that you have less than 1 minute remaining or your call can’t be completed because you have insufficient airtime.
The good thing is you can now easily borrow airtime from MTN whenever you run out of airtime and you need to make urgent calls. This service is called the MTN Xtratime.
In this post, you will learn about MTN Xtratime and how to borrow airtime from MTN.
What is MTN Xtratime
MTN XtraTime refers to a package or service that lets you borrow airtime whenever you run out of airtime so you can pay later. However, MTN deducts a 10% service charge fee from the airtime you borrowed, so if you borrow N200, you will get N180 instead of N200.
This service was introduced by MTN back in 2014 and to be eligible to borrow airtime on MTN, you must have been a subscriber on the network for at least 3 months and also recharge your line regularly.
How to Borrow Airtime On MTN
To borrow airtime on MTN, simply follow the steps below;
- Dial *606# on your MTN line;
- Select the Xtratime option;
- A pop box will appear showing a list of available airtime volumes you can borrow;
- Now, select your preferred choice from the options;
- A message will be sent to you that you have been credited with the airtime.
The more active you’re on the network, the more airtime volume you will be eligible to borrow.
How to Pay Back the Airtime you Borrowed from MTN
You can easily pay back your airtime loan on MTN by simply recharging your MTN line with the exact amount you borrowed and MTN will automatically deduct the loan.
