The WhatsApp has gained new features at certain intervals. The latest addition of the messenger allows users to post an emoji or sticker as a group photo — previously it was only possible to insert images from the gallery or the internet. Below, I’ll show you how to do this in just a few minutes.
The new feature is now available on WhatsApp for Android and iPhone (

Unfortunately, the new feature has a limitation: if you choose a picture with movement, the effect will not appear in the group photo, only one frame will be visible.
To avoid this incompatibility, I recommend adding a static sticker.

Choose the group:
Open the app and tap the group you want to change the photo;
Enter the group options:
Tap the group name at the top of the screen;
Change the photo:
Tap the current photo and then the pencil icon in the upper right corner;
Select the new option:
Tap “Emoji and stickers”;
Choose a sticker or emoji:
The app will display all emojis and stickers available on the mobile.
To switch between options, tap the icons in the bottom menu — you can also set a background color;
Save the change:
Tap the “✓” icon in the upper right corner to confirm photo change.
