  1. Open Photoshop;
  2. Menu “File” > “Open”;

  5. In the “Paths” panel, click on “Create New Path”;
  6. Select the standard “Pen” tool;

  9. Accept the default name or rename the “Path” to fix it in your project;

How to delete the contents of a clipping mask

You can delete the part inside or outside the selection.

  2. The Path area will be selected;
  3. Toggle the selection area by pressing “⌘ + Shift + I” or “Control + Shift + I”;
  4. Delete the unwanted area;
  5. Or in the “Layers” tab, press “⌘ + J” ( macOS ) or “Control + J” ( Windows ) and duplicate the desired area;
  6. Close the eye (preview) of the layer that originated the copy of the space selected by the mask;
  7. Or delete the layer.
