Which Samsung phones are expected to receive Android 15 in 2025?

New year, new software update. Android 15 was officially released in October 2024 for Pixel phones, but it will soon arrive on some Samsung models along with One UI 7. Check out the possible list of devices that will receive the update below.

Samsung has already announced that One UI 7 will arrive first in January, along with the Galaxy S25. The manufacturer will prioritize the new flagship to be launched later than the models from previous years, generating “exclusivity” for those who purchase the launch.

The specialized website SamMobile created an unofficial list of devices eligible for the update.

One of the criteria for this list is the original release version: in principle, every Galaxy launched with Android 13 should get Android 15, since Samsung usually releases two major updates for its smartphones or tablets.

Galaxy S

  • Galaxy S21 FE, S21, S21 Plus and S21 Ultra
  • Galaxy S22, S22 Plus and S22 Ultra
  • Galaxy S23 FE, S23, S23 Plus and S23 Ultra
  • Galaxy S24 FE, S24, S24 Plus and S24 Ultra

Foldables (Z Flip and Z Fold)

  • Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Z Flip 3
  • Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Z Flip 4
  • Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Z Flip 5

Galaxy A Line

  • Galaxy A14 5G, A15 5G and A16 5G
  • Galaxy A23, A24 and A25
  • Galaxy A33, A34 and A35
  • Galaxy A52, A53, A54 and A55
  • Galaxy A73

Galaxy M

  • Galaxy M15
  • Galaxy M33 and M34
  • Galaxy M54 and M55

Galaxy Tab

  • Galaxy Tab S8, S8 Plus and S8 Ultra
  • Galaxy Tab S9, S9 Plus and S9 Ultra
  • Galaxy Tab S10 Plus and S10 Ultra

What’s new in Android 15 and One UI 7

One UI 7 has not yet been officially revealed, but a beta version has provided a glimpse of how the update works. One of the highlights is the app drawer, which will have the option of vertical viewing , in alphabetical order — like on Motorola smartphones, for example.

Other visual refinements are also expected to be present in One UI 7, such as new pill-shaped lock screen icons and widgets, similar to Apple’s Dynamic Island.

Android 15 should bring some features already available in Samsung’s customization, such as Private Space, similar to One UI’s Secure Folder. The update should also bring improvements for foldable smartphones, such as shortcuts that open two apps simultaneously.
