iPad is an Apple tablet released in April 2010. Runs the iOS operating system. It sold more than 3 million units in just 80 days, being the absolute leader in the category. The first generation had a 9.7″ (1024×768) screen, 256 MB of RAM, and a 1 GHz single-core processor. One of its main attractions was the battery lasting 10 hours even browsing via Wi-Fi, a brand much larger than the notebooks and netbooks of the time.
