Tag: Xbox Series S

The Xbox Series S was released simultaneously to xbox series X in November 2020. Both consoles are part of the ninth generation of consoles, with the Xbox Series S, the “input console” produced by Microsoft for the new generation of consoles.

While it has a more modest configuration than its larger brother and a more affordable price, the Xbox X Series, it can use the key features available for microsoft’s new platforms.

Xbox S Series features a more minimalist design and performs most Xbox Series X functions.

This structure allows you to use the Quick Resume function, which allows you to switch between multiple games at the same time, and restart each game exactly where you left off.

The big differences in the Xbox Series S are the absence of a Blu-Ray disc player, as the console is designed to play only digital games. The Xbox Series S reaches a resolution of 1440p, and can reach 4K and has a slightly smaller storage unit with a 512GB SDD of space.

The console has backward compatibility, so you can play games from the entire Xbox family. From original Xbox games to Xbox 360 and Xbox One.

The console features a feature called “Smart Delivery”, which makes improvements to older games and promises to deliver each game with the best possible performance on both Xbox Series S and Xbox Series X.

Games with the “Xbox Series X/S Optimized” note feature specific improvements for new consoles, such as increasing the number of frames, ensuring better performance.
