Signing in to Instagram with your Facebook account is one of the simplest ways to sign in to the social network. The method also allows you to share posts and stories on the other platform with just one tap and allows you to meet friends to follow. See below how to link Instagram to Facebook, and take advantage of integrating the two networks into the app.
Linking Instagram to Facebook
After buying Instagram, Facebook now allows users to use the account center to manage integrated logins across the company’s apps.
If you created your Instagram account independently to Facebook, do the following:
- Open the Instagram app on your smartphone and tap on your photo to access your profile;
- Go to the burger menu (represented by three dashes) in the upper right corner;
- Tap “Settings”;
- Tap “Account Center” and go to “Unify accounts login.”
If you’ve already signed in to the Facebook app from your smartphone, Instagram will offer you as an alternative to integrate into your Instagram account. You can change the Facebook account you will link to, as shown in the image below.
Finally, simply activate the key next to “Unify accounts login” to use them in an integrated way.
What if I delete the Facebook account?
If you close your Facebook account after you’ve signed in, you won’t be able to use it to sign in to Instagram anymore. However, you can still enter Instagram your username and password registered on the social network of photos and videos.
