To recover you hacked Facebook account, simply follow the listed steps below;
Check Whether you’re still logged in somewhere else
This should be the first step you should take towards recovering your Facebook account. You may have logged in your account in a browser maybe on your Android device or PC ( Personal Computer) and if you find out that you can still access your Facebook somewhere, you can reset your Facebook password immediately and recover your account with the listed steps;
- Log into your Facebook whether in your browser or anywhere you have logged in before
- Click the arrowhead in the top right corner to expand the dialogue
- From the dialogue, select settings
- Go to Security and Login or click this direct link.
- You will see a list of devices that your Facebook account was recently logged into and the time the devices were active.
- If you suspect an suspicious activity in your login sessions, quickly change your password
To Change your Facebook Password
Follow the order; Settings>> Security and Login>> Login>> Change password.
Enter a strong password that you can remember easily and click save.
After you’ve changed your Facebook password successfully, go back to Login and click logout of all sessions. Be sure that can still login back before doing this. Also ensure you set up two – factor authentication on Facebook.
Try the Default Facebook Account Recovery Option
If you couldn’t find anywhere where you’re still logged into Facebook, Then proceed with the default Facebook recovery option. To do this, you need to head to the Facebook recovery page and use an email address or phone number that you have previously entered on your Facebook account or it can be your Facebook username.
Once you are able to identify you Facebook successfully, you will see a summary of your profile. Take a careful look at your Facebook account and note the changes like whether you still have access to the email address shown.
If all is in order with the contact details Facebook have in record for you, click “continue” and a security code will be sent to you from Facebook.
Enter the code from your email and be happy because you have just recovered your Facebook account.
It’s highly recommended that you set a new password.
NOTE: if the code is taking to long to arrive, simply click on “didn’t get a code?”, and you will be taken back to the previous screen, there you can try again.
If you manage to gain access back to your account, check whether any email address or phone number has been added to your account then remove them immediately.
Did you Setup Trusted Contacts?
If you had setup TRUSTED CONTACTS, you can easily tell them to help you recover your Facebook account. You’ll need to remember at least one full name of your three or five trusted contacts to see all of them. Then ask them to visit this link.
Each of them will be sent a code and they’ll the code. You only need three codes to recover your Facebook. Enter the codes and your Facebook account will be recovered successfully.
If you did not setup Trusted Accounts, you might be ask to answer a security question and reset your password immediately. It may take up to 24 hours before you can access your Facebook account again.
Hacked Account/ Spamming?
If you have you Facebook account hacked and it’s sending out spam, follow the steps listed below;
Step 1:
- First go to this link https://www.facebook.com/hacked
- Click the button “My account is Compromised“
- Then type in your email address, Login name, Full Name or your specified Phone No
- Then Facebook would search for matching users. If you still don’t see your account, try entering something else other than the one you entered. For example if you entered your phone number and it didn’t work try entering your email or Login name. Most of the time using your email would be the wisest choice
- Hit Search.
This is mostly useful when an hacker hacks you Facebook account and maybe changed the password, but it can also be helpful when you forget your password.
Step 2:
Well now the kind of difficult part begins. But I don’t think it would be for you.
Now for this step you got to enter your account’s password. Well if you knew the password you won’t be here anyway, cause you don’t know your new password the Hacker’s changed, enter your old password. The password that you use, to enter into your account before you got HACKED.
Step 3:
Then cause you entered an old actually now wrong password this page will come up.
Well no need to be down yet. Just click the reset my password button.
Step 4:
Your primary email would be changed so well of course you don’t want to send your reset your password link to the hacker’s account so, Click “no longer have access to these?” link.
Step 5:
Well now you almost got your account back.
Now write your new email address that you want to send the change password link as well set as your primary email.
Well now, follow the next steps and you would have your account back in 24 hours.

Contact Facebook for your Account Recovery
If you have tried all the listed above methods, you can now try to email Facebook support itself at security@facebookmail.com to tell them about your problem and they might probably give you a chance to identify yourself using either an international passport or driver’s license. So attach a scan of either of the means of identity you have provided to the mail.
NOTE: Hearing back from Facebook might take several weeks, you have to be patient and if you didn’t use your real name on Facebook, your chances of recovering your Facebook account are very low.
You can always create a new Facebook Account
