How to download videos from Reddit on PC and Android

Did you see any videos so good on Reddit that you wanted to download directly to your computer or Android or iPhone? The main complaint among users is that when saving videos from the platform, the files come without sound. I tested some solutions and found online tools that download correctly.

How to download Reddit videos with sound

You can use one of the alternatives below to download the videos. They work on your phone —you don’t need to download apps—and on your PC.

The website EarthWeb suggested that the sites cited download only videos that are hosted on Reddit itself. They won’t work for posts with media egotised from other sites like YouTube. If this is the case, you should click the video link on the original site and use another method to download it.

Viddit.red

To use this option, just have access to a browser. Follow the steps:

1. Open the post with a video on Reddit;
2. Go to “Share” > “Copy link” below the video or copy the link from the address bar;
3. Open the site viddit.red in your browser;
4. Paste the video link into the “Insert post here…” field and click on “Submit”;
5. Click on “Download HD Video”.

You can download the file in .mp4 (audio and video) or .mp3 (audio only).

Reddit Save

Just like in Viddit.red, you only need to use a browser to download the file through Reddit Save. Follow the walkthrough:

1. Open the post with the video on Reddit;
2. Go to “Share” > “Copy link” below the video or copy the link from the address bar;
3. Go to redditsave.com in your browser;
4. Paste the video link into the “Please enter a Reddit URL…” field;
5. Click “Download”;
6. The site will upload the video. Click on “Download HD Video”;

Ready! The file will be downloaded .mp4 and with normal audio.

Lew.la

Another option that requires only access to a browser.

1. Open the post with the video on Reddit;
2. Go to “Share” > “Copy link” below the video or copy the link from the address bar;
3. Go to the lew.la/reddit in your browser;
4. Paste the video link in the field below “Reddit URL”
5. Click on “Download Video”;
6. The site will upload the media. Click “Save Video”.

After that, the file will be automatically saved to your computer or mobile phone.
