How to create NFT on iPhone and iPad for free

While Cryptocurrencies are growing in popularity and capitalization, we cannot underestimate NFTs, a new sense of crypto. Non-fungible tokens have become fashionable because they can be sold in large amounts.

The good news is that you don’t need to be an artist, programmer, or celebrity to make money from your work. The S!NG app, currently only available on the Apple App Store, helps you create and sell these new digital assets.

NFTs, or non-fungible tokens, are signs of ownership of unique digital assets, such as images, video clips, or tweets, that are stored on the blockchain. NFTs can be bought and sold, but they are not mutually compatible, like Cryptocurrencies and other utilities or network tokens, which are inherently fungible.

The most important use case is digital artwork, which is sold on the blockchain for the multi-million dollar “crypto” world’s native currency, “Ethereum.”

Of course, there are a lot of NFTs that have nothing to do with digital art being sold on this marketplace. An example is the first tweet from Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey, which fetched $2.9 million at auction. There’s also the iconic floating cat GIF ‘Nyan Cat’, which was auctioned off for $590,000 last February.

If you’re an artist, or you barely know how to draw, you don’t need to be a celebrity to create and sell irreplaceable tokens. If you have an iPhone or iPad and an internet connection, you can start creating digital assets right away.

The s!ng app (which is free, by the way) is used to make NFTs yourself, store them, and sell them soon. Additionally, it can also be used as a wallet to hold Ethereum, the main crypto used in NFT transactions.

After downloading the app and opening a user account, you simply upload a file as the basis for your project, such as an image, video or audio. Apps can be created individually, but can also rely on collaborators.

They explain on their website that once you have material or a finished project, S!NG will turn it into an NFT that you can share or sell. You can also store them in your digital wallet, waiting for a good buyer willing to pay for them.

While the app doesn’t yet have a buyout feature, in the coming weeks it will be incorporated into the OpenSea API, the largest marketplace for NFTs, so you can sell non-fungible tokens or buy digital material from other creators.

Considering the amount of ridiculous digital assets offered on the NFT market (like the $36,000 “Bad Luck Brian” Mem), it doesn’t cost you anything to try.

How to use S!ng Application to create an NFT for free

If you are an artist, surely you already know how everything related to the NFT works and that despite being able to create one for free, some costs will always be required for its creation and mainly for the sale of non-fungible tokens.

In order to create non-fungible tokens without paying, we recommend using the S!ng app, available for iOS mobile devices. It is expected that in the future it will be available for the Android operating system. To create your NFT without paying just follow each of these steps:

  • The first thing will be to download the app from the official App Store.
  • Once downloaded, you will only have to create your account after a few simple steps and you will be ready to use it.
  • Please note that the app will provide you with an Ethereum wallet, as these are the digital currencies handled in the NFT.
  • When you have already installed the app, you will have to provide an email address so that you can formalize the registration and then select an avatar to use in the application. There you will also have 10 options to choose what type of creator you are.

After this you will be ready to create your NFT, for this, you just have to follow these steps:

  • Once inside the app you will click on the round button at the bottom of the screen.
  • Next, select the icon of the content you want to create or upload, it can be an audio, photo or video file.
  • Once selected you only have to load the content .
  • Now edit the name you want to give the NFT.
  • If you click on the + sign, then you can add collaborators, notes or associated files.
  • Finally click on “Send ”.

Once this is done, you will have your first NFT and S!ng will allow you to view it, archive it, or share your non-fungible tokens with others.

How do you sell your NFT with S! ng?

The currently missing component in S! Ng is a marketplace to sell your NFTs. The company plans to open one at the end of the month, but even when it does, it will be a closed market made up of a curated group of musicians. However, the content will not be limited to just music, as the visual artists will also be working with the musicians on the content of their NFT releases.

The service will eventually expand beyond music, but unsurprisingly from the name, music is at the heart of S! Ng. The Product Director is Raine Maida, lead singer of the group Our Lady Peace. She sees the service as a great opportunity for artists to connect more directly with fans and sell unique content to them without third-party interference.

For those of us who aren’t prominent musicians, the company is also working to offer integration with one of the largest open NFT marketplaces, so anyone with the app can easily sell their creations. This support is coming very soon, according to S! ng, and we’ll update you with instructions when it’s available.

Why create an NFT if you do not intend to sell it?

Even if you never intend to sell an NFT, there are other reasons to use S!ng. The app was originally conceived as a method to allow inventors to collaborate with a clear and incontrovertible record of who invented what and when. The blockchain has been the perfect solution for this, allowing you to securely share content with a verifiable timestamp that is maintained independently of the blockchain and provides proof of original creation.

Founders Jim Harmon and Geoff Osler recognized the much broader implications of this and brought Maida with the service, later taking on their more focused musical approach. The potential to leverage the underlying technology and allow users to monetize the resulting NFTs was essentially a secondary benefit.

This need to protect intellectual property (IP) is more important than ever now that we have the ability to share content instantly online. Maida cited TikTok as an example; The platform’s duet feature allows users to play each other’s content while recognizing the original. This kind of thing creates an amazing environment for creatives to interact, but of course, it’s also fraught with danger when it comes to the intellectual property that comes out of these exchanges.

Whether it’s a collaboration between inventors, artists, musicians, writers, programmers, or other creators, the ability to easily share and communicate while maintaining a clear chain of custody for intellectual property is tremendously valuable, and S!ng tries to make it as simple as possible.
