Certified Analytics Professional (CAP)

Through the CAP, individuals can develop their skills in the field of data analysis by acquiring a certification that’s vendor-neutral. To be eligible, they’ll need at least five years’ experience in the field of data analysis and a master’s degree.

Individuals who have at least three years of experience in the data analysis field can also earn the associate-level certification through the CAP.

IIBA Entry Certificate in Business Analysis (ECBA)

The IBA’s entry-level certification program is for people who are not experienced in the field of data analysis. To be eligible, they must have at least 21 professional credits in the past four years. They can’t renew their certification, but they’ll most likely move on to the next level.

IIBA Certification of Competency in Business Analysis (CCBA)

The second level of the IBA’s certification program is for people who want to develop their skills in data analysis. They’ll need to complete a minimum of 3,500 hours in order to be considered for this level. This includes working on projects that are aligned with the organization’s knowledge.

The CCBA exam is composed of over 130 multiple-choice questions. To be considered for this level, candidates must complete at least 21 hours of training. It also covers the core skills and concepts of data analysis.

IIBA Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP)

The IBA offers the third level of its certification program, which is for people who have at least 7,500 work experience within the field of data analysis. This level requires participants to complete 900 hours of work experience that’s aligned with the BABOK Guide.

The IBA exam is about 3.5 hours long, and it includes over 120 multiple-choice questions. Following the completion of the program, participants will need to complete at least 60 professional development hours.

IIBA Agile Analysis Certification (AAC)

The IIB noted that many organizations are implementing agile methods in their operations, which is why it created the new certification program. The goal of the program is to help business analysts develop the skills they need to work in these environments.

The IIB’s certification program is not related to the other programs offered by the organization.

The exam is conducted through a remote online proctoring method. Although it doesn’t require participants to be enrolled in the program, the IIB noted that people who have at least 2 to 5 years of experience in the field are most likely to be considered for the certification.

Simplilearn Business Analyst Masters Program

The Simplilearn Master’s Program can help people who are new to the field of business analysis or want to start a new career in the industry. Through the program, participants can earn various industry-specific certifications, such as the CCBA. After completing the program, they’ll have access to over 30 professional development units from the IIB and the PMI.

PMI Professional in Business Analysis (PBA) Certification

The goal of the Professional in Business Analysis certification is to provide individuals with the necessary skills to perform effective analysis of projects and programs. This is done through a project management certification institute.

IREB Certified Professional for Requirements Engineering (CPRE)

The IREB certification is for individuals who are working in the fields of requirements engineering. There are three levels of this certification: Foundation, Advanced, and Professional.

The Advanced Level is for people who are already familiar with the various aspects of requirements engineering. It provides three paths: requirements management, requirements engineering, and requirements modeling. The Expert level is for individuals who have already been certified in the fields of requirements management and requirements engineering.
